addition
the sun against the concrete sidewalk
brushed by a wednesday's breeze
our eyes meet
and i am con-sumed by blue
and i am displaced in white
and i am lost
side by side
we share the same concrete square
blurring personal space
forgetting to exhale her scent
adding her soul to mine
step by step
she moves galaxies away
leaving the air cold
not out of cruelty
but out of compulsion
